 Lewis’s passion for cricket started from a young age, deeply rooted in his family where he would watch twice a week. This constant exposure to the game nurtured his passion, making cricket a massive part of his life. The turning point came with his first cricket bat – a vibrant yellow Woodworm Torch, the very model wielded by cricket legend Kevin Pietersen. This bat was not just a piece of sports equipment; it was the ignition of his passion for the sport.

Lewis's weekends remains dedicated to the sport, each game enhancing his understanding of cricket bats' craftsmanship and the essence of what constitutes a top level bat. Fuelled by curiosity, he ventured into bat repair and refurbishment of his own bats. It wasn’t long before this endeavour evolved from a mere hobby into a profound love for the artistry behind bat making. This craft went beyond repairing; it became about breathing new life into each piece of willow, preserving its story and legacy.
