Cricket has been part of Lewis's life since childhood, watching the game with his family and spending weekends playing. His first bat was a yellow Woodworm Torch, the model associated with Kevin Pietersen. It helped spark an interest in bats that stayed with him.
That interest became more practical when Lewis started repairing and refurbishing his own bats. Learning how a bat is put together, and what can be done when it is damaged, became a reason to spend more time in the workshop.
A second innings
4D Cricket grew from that interest in keeping bats in use. Some damage can be repaired; some bats have reached their limit. The starting point is an honest assessment of the bat in front of us.
Today, 4D brings together individual English willow bats, repair and refurbishment work, accessories and custom teamwear for cricket clubs.
